Privacy Policy

1. Overview

MakeShorty is a web application. I collect only the data needed to run it and do not sell or share your information with third parties.

2. Data I Collect

When you sign in with Google, I receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. When you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details; I never see your card number and only store your plan status and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers.

3. Your Content

Your posts and slide settings are stored in your account (Google Firestore) so they sync across your devices. Images you add to a slide are stored in your browser's local storage and are not uploaded to my servers.

4. AI Features

When you use AI text generation or AI image search, the topic or description you enter is sent to Google's Gemini models (via Firebase AI Logic) to generate a response. Image searches are sent to Pexels. I do not send your account details with these requests.

5. How I Use Your Data

I use your data to authenticate you, sync your posts, enforce plan limits, and process subscriptions. I do not send marketing emails.

6. Third-Party Services

I use Google Firebase (authentication, database, AI), Stripe (payments), Pexels (stock photos), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your account data is kept while your account exists. To have your account and posts deleted, email me and I will remove them. Payment records are retained by Stripe as required by law.
